Privacy Policy

How TenderHawk handles your information.

Last updated: 9 May 2026. TenderHawk is a UK public-contract alert service for small businesses, owned and operated by Lee Balsdon.

What we collect

When you create a TenderHawk profile, we collect the information needed to match contract opportunities: your email address, business name, website, Companies House number if provided, postcode or service area, sectors, keywords, accreditations, exclusions, capacity notes, alert preference and selected access plan.

If you use the website auto-fill helper, TenderHawk may fetch public text from the website you provide and use it to draft a business description and suggested sectors. You can edit the result before saving.

If you arrive through a public campaign link, TenderHawk may store first-party attribution details in this browser and, when you create or update a profile, with your profile or account record. This can include UTM source, medium, campaign, content, search term, landing page path, referrer website host, capture time and your optional answer to how you heard about TenderHawk. We use it to understand which channels bring useful Free Scout profiles, and we do not use advertising pixels or retargeting tags at this stage.

How we use it

We use your profile to provide account access, save your contract-matching preferences, send TenderHawk emails, improve matching quality, prevent unsuitable alerts and understand whether the service is useful during validation.

Services we use

TenderHawk uses Supabase for email-code sign-in and profile storage, Resend for email delivery, Vercel for hosting and analytics, OpenRouter for controlled AI profile/contract analysis, Companies House for public company information where relevant, and public procurement sources such as Find a Tender and Contracts Finder.

Cookies and account sessions

TenderHawk uses strictly necessary Supabase session cookies when you sign in, so your account can remain private to your email login. Vercel Analytics may collect privacy-conscious site usage data. TenderHawk may also keep first-party campaign attribution in browser storage for up to 90 days so profile starts can be linked back to a public UTM campaign. TenderHawk does not use advertising cookies, ad pixels or retargeting tags at this stage.

Legal basis

We process account and profile information because it is necessary to provide the service you request. We may also use limited analytics and service-improvement data under legitimate interests, while keeping the product focused and proportionate.

How long we keep it

We keep account and profile information while you use TenderHawk or remain in early access. You can ask us to delete your profile at any time.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, correction, deletion, restriction or objection where UK data protection law applies. Contact hello@tenderhawk.co.uk.
