Methodology
How these numbers are built
- Sources. Counts come from TenderHawk's monitored notices: Find a Tender, Contracts Finder, Public Contracts Scotland and a Sell2Wales fallback.
- What counts as “live”. Only notices still open for bidding whose sector has been confirmed by our triage pipeline (rules plus AI classification). Expired, awarded and cancelled notices are excluded from live counts.
- Sectors. Each notice is assigned one primary sector from our 23-sector taxonomy.
- Values. “Advertised contract value” sums published values. Large multi-year frameworks can dominate the total — the value-band chart gives a better sense of typical opportunities.
- Regions. Buyer regions use ITL1 statistical regions derived from published buyer locations.
- Freshness. This snapshot was compiled on 12 October 2026 and refreshes every morning. Weekly trend data covers the trailing 12 weeks of publications.
